Smart MedTech at SEMICON West 2027

Next-Gen Silicon for Healthcare Technology: Scaling Bio-Sensing, Edge AI, and Connected Care

Healthcare represents a rapidly expanding growth driver for the semiconductor industry. Next-generation medical advancements—from AI-enabled diagnostics and continuous health monitoring to intelligent implants and personalized therapies—rely directly on breakthroughs in sensors, edge computing, power management, wireless connectivity, advanced packaging, and scalable manufacturing.

We invite abstracts that showcase how advanced semiconductor technologies and cross-industry partnerships are taking healthcare innovation from proof-of-concept to clinical impact.

Session will include (but not limited to) topics within:

  • Advanced Sensors and Semiconductor-Based Diagnostics 
    • MEMS, bio-photonic sensors, microfluidic platforms, lab-on-a-chip architectures, and continuous non-invasive biomarker monitoring.
  • Wearable, Implantable, and Connected Medical Devices 
    • Flexible and bio-compatible substrates, neural interfaces, closed-loop therapeutic systems, power-optimized microelectronics, and wireless connectivity.
  • Edge AI and Intelligent Medical Systems 
    • Ultra-low-power AI chips, secure on-device data processing, advanced medical imaging, predictive diagnostics, and real-time clinical decision support. 
  • Semiconductor Engineering and Manufacturing for Medical Devices
    •  Device miniaturization, long-term device reliability, medical-grade manufacturing scale-up, hardware cybersecurity, and regulatory readiness.
