Next-Gen Photonics: Powering Tomorrow’s Technologies at SEMICON West 2025

Recent advances have enhanced the potential of photonics technology to revolutionize many industries by enabling high-bandwidth, energy-efficient, cost-effective, and compact optical systems. Consequently, there has been a steady increase in photonics elements being incorporated into multiple applications, augmenting existing system capabilities with better performance and new features. However, there are still several challenges to be overcome, ranging from the foundational materials and devices to system integration. This session will provide insight into recent advances, highlight key challenges and innovative solutions.
