Stefan-Gabriel Ene
Software developer intern Intel / Stanford University
Stefan-Gabriel Ene, MS in Computer Science, is a second-year Master's student at Stanford University and an AI Solutions Engineering Intern at Intel Corporation, where he specializes in leveraging agentic workflows to automate and support the work of yield engineers within the Automatic Defect Classification (ADC) group. With three software development internships under his belt, of which two were in the semiconductor industry, his work at Intel is directly connected to developing and automating next-generation platforms for Intel processors and manufacturing processes.
Following his internship at Intel, Stefan is returning to complete his Master of Science in Computer Science with a specialization in Systems at Stanford University. His academic and professional journey includes two years of research and open-source development in hardware cryptography tools, alongside an internship with Intel's Linux kernel group. Together, these experiences laid a robust foundation for his current work in semiconductor manufacturing and fab operations. Throughout his career, he has been deeply passionate about bridging the gap between theoretical research and scalable, high-volume manufacturing and deployment, a critical challenge in today's rapidly evolving technological landscape.
At this year's SEMICON West conference, Stefan is excited to share his latest work and findings as a poster presenter representing his team. His poster, titled "Agentic AI Workflow for Automatic Defect Classification Operations in Semiconductor Manufacturing," addresses the gap between generalist Large Language Models (LLMs) and domain-specific expert knowledge, focusing on automating the ADC engineer's daily workflow within Intel's yield engineering group. When he is not working on advanced computing solutions, Stefan enjoys hiking and building custom PCs, and he looks forward to connecting with fellow industry professionals and researchers at the event.
