Shahd Labib is a Process Engineer in Direct Metals Deposition group at Lam Research. Her work focuses on next generation processes for tungsten thin films using atomic layer deposition (ALD). Shahd joined Lam Research in June 2017 as a Rotational Program Engineer where she had three prior roles at Lam Research. She started in a Manufacturing Engineering role in Portland, Oregon, then she transitioned to a Field Process Engineer’s role supporting Lam’s customers in Asia, and then she transferred to her third role as a Product Design Engineer the Etch Product group in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Shahd graduated with a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in June 2017, specializing in Pharmaceutical Machine Design in Professor Slocum’s research lab. Prior to that, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering at The American University in Cairo.
