Erin Sproul, PhD is the Wearables Research Applications Manager at Profusa, Inc where she coordinates clinical studies using the wireless Lumee Oxygen platform and incorporates the learnings into improving the next generation Lumee technology. Dr. Sproul received her PhD from the Clemson University – Medical University of South Carolina Joint Bioengineering Program where she applied gene transcription findings toward tissue engineering of blood vessels. Her postdoctoral research at the UNC-Chapel Hill-NCSU Biomedical Engineering Department focused on developing novel hydrogels targeting hemorrhage in the Advanced Wound Healing Lab. Dr. Sproul is also active in the Society of Women Engineers, having presided over the professional section in the Research Triangle of North Carolina. Dr. Sproul is currently the Clinical Research Coordinator for a Profusa clinical feasibility study to continuously measure oxygen levels in different anatomical locations in daily life.
