Jon Kretzschmar has been with TEL for the last 18 years and joined Tokyo Electron America through the acquisition of Timbre Technologies. Jon graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BS and MS in chemical engineering and an MS in electrical engineering. Over the years, Jon has moved from product marketing to managing the U.S. sales team responsible for new and used equipment sales and now, back to marketing and strategic business development. Jon’s current focus entails the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans that leverage TEL’s diverse 100/150/200mm tool offerings and services. Jon and his team utilize analytics, market trends, and old-fashion elbow grease to grow TEL’s presence and market share within the highly diverse silicon and novel substrate market. He has been actively involved in almost every aspect of semiconductor manufacturing ranging from bare silicon to backend test with companies such as Motorola, AMD, and SEMATECH. Outside the fab environment, Jon’s diverse experience in corporate marketing, technical marketing, and sales adds a complimentary component to the business of semiconductor manufacturing.
