Desiree Rodriguez currently works an intern in the Advanced Product Technology Development group in the Mayden Technology Center. This is her first internship but Desiree has stayed dedicated to Applied Materials for over a year now. She works closely with process engineers to help process production wafers. She works diligently within her team of engineering technicians to ensure all of the tools owned by her group stay up in production mode. This includes performing periodic maintenance for tools, removing old or installing new hardware, and interfacing with the tool software daily. Desiree is currently in her 5th year of aerospace engineering at San Jose State University where she is currently treasurer for the Black Alliance of Scientists and Engineers. She’s very interested in unmanned air vehicles and is excited for the future growth the drone industry will cause the semiconductor industry!
