Program Leader, Edison Engineering Program, GE Research
Tiffany Westendorf is the Edison Engineering Development Program Leader for GE Research in Niskayuna, NY. In this role, Tiffany leads all aspects of the program, from recruiting and hiring top engineering talent into the program, placing program members in multiple project assignments, and transitioning program graduates to off-program roles within GE. In addition, Tiffany is responsible for technical education across GE Research, including Six Sigma certification for employees.
Prior to this role, Tiffany was a senior R&D engineer at GE Research, in which role she led technology R&D programs benefiting GE’s businesses in Power, Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Plastics, Renewable Energy, and Aviation. Prior to joining GE, Tiffany developed refinery/chemical plant optimization models for ExxonMobil Chemical in Baytown, TX.
Tiffany earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Columbia University. Tiffany is a Certified Level II TRIZ Practitioner and a Six Sigma Black Belt. She holds 9 US and international patents.
Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys cooking, playing soccer, reading, and spending time with her family.
