Semiconductor companies of all sizes must maintain their competitive edge by innovating and reducing the time to develop next-generation products. Workloads in this industry are diverse, including Electronic Design Automation (EDA), hardware emulation, and yield analysis. This session illustrates how semiconductor firms today are using cloud to achieve the maximum possible performance and throughput for their design efforts. We cover specific optimization techniques and share architectures to accelerate batch and interactive workloads. We also demonstrate how to extend and migrate on-premises infrastructure, and deploy high performance compute and storage in secure, cloud-based design chambers. The talk concludes with an overview of how AI/ML can be used to improve design efficiencies and improve quality and yields.
