Larry Smith currently serves as President of Tokyo Electron America, Inc. (TEA) and Tokyo Electron US Holdings (TEH), wholly owned subsidiaries of Tokyo Electron Limited (TEL) based in Tokyo, Japan with regional revenues over $1 billion annually and over 1600 employees. He joined the company in June 2000. Mr. Smith has more than 29 years of management experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to becoming President of the Holding Company in December 2016 and TEA President in September of 2009, he served in a variety of roles over the last eighteen years to include Vice President of Business Unit Operations, Vice President of the SPE1 Division (Clean Track and Surface Preparation Systems), and Vice President of the Clean Track Business Unit. The balance of his career was in global strategic account management. Mr. Smith also served in the US. Army as an Armor Officer for five years. Larry has a BS in engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point. He also serves the Semiconductor Industry Trade association (SEMI) and his community through board of director roles with SEMI’s North American Advisory Board, Austin’s Habitat for Humanity and Mobile Loaves and Fishes.
