Sophia Rogalskyj

Process Engineering Intern, TEL Center of America (TTCA)

Sophia Rogalskyj is an undergraduate student at SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s Colleges of Nanoscale Science & Engineering (CNSE) in Albany, NY. In addition to her conventional role as a full-time student, Sophia is also a Process Engineering Intern at Tokyo Electron Technology Center of America (TTCA), which is on campus at CNSE.  At TTCA, she works with senior engineers to develop area selective deposition techniques and perform hardware upgrades and maintenance on the TEL Thin Films platforms. Before interning at TTCA, Sophia worked at the University of Rochester Laboratory for Laser Energetics, Rochester Institute of Technology, and in the BEOL Reliability lab at CNSE.  She will be graduating this May with a B.S. in Nanoscale Engineering, and, in August, she will start towards her Ph.D. while continuing to work at TTCA. 
Sophia is an active member of the CNSE community.  She is a founding member of SUNY Poly’s women’s group, a student ambassador, and a member of CNSE’s Industry Advisory Board.  She has organized student research symposiums, a panel event in conjunction with GLOBALWOMEN, fab tours, and CNSE’s first-ever Women’s Lunch.
