Alyssa Desuacido is a Culture of Inclusion Specialist at Applied Materials, where she supports the development and successful execution of the company’s strategy to foster a stronger and more inclusive culture for all employees. This includes engaging employees, identifying and eliminating systematic barriers, reinforcing adoption and accelerating outcomes, and expanding the diversity of the company’s workforce.
Alyssa has been instrumental in revamping the company’s onboarding experience for new hires and providing guidance and supporting the growth of Applied Materials’ eight employee resource groups. In addition, she serves as the program coordinator for the company’s career development program for female engineers, a two-year course designed to offer highly focused and curated development opportunities for technical women at Applied Materials.
Alyssa joined Applied Materials in 2018 after receiving her BA in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. She previously interned as at Cisco Systems where she supported the rollout of the company’s new career development tool for Technical Services.
