Hosted by SEMI North American PV Advisory Committee:
Description: Faster and broader adoption of solar power is driven by the photovoltaic industry’s ability to achieve grid parity while ensuring financial returns along the photovoltaic value chain. The quality and long term performance of the components within a PV system heavily impact how successfully these objectives can be met. This forum will explore the fundamental building blocks of system quality and long term performance: materials. Materials selection, manufacturing processes and quality management are critical to success. In this session, we will explore the impact of these factors on both initial system cost and levelized cost of electricity (LCOE). We will examine multiple points of view along the value chain, address key strategic business implications, and conclude with a panel discussion involving all the speakers. Join to learn more about how materials, processing and quality management impact project returns, long term system output and economics, to accelerate our ability to achieve grid parity and further sustainable growth for the PV industry.
