Chao Jin, Ph.D.

NSF I/UCRC for Intelligent Maintenance Systems

Chao Jin is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree at the NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for Intelligent Maintenance Systems (IMS) at the University of Cincinnati. He has been working under the supervision of Professor Jay Lee since 2012, and has provided research & development, technical training & leadership on a variety of industrial and academic projects. His research interest includes prognostics and health management for various industrial applications and vibration-based rotatory machinery signal processing, specifically semiconductor manufacturing process monitoring, motor health assessment, and electrical component prognostics. In 2015, the proposal he submitted to NSF cyber manufacturing Dear Colleague Letter project call on fleet-sourced prognostics for distributed systems has been awarded.
