Lead Persistence—The Key to Tradeshow Lead Conversion
For too many exhibitors, tradeshow lead follow-up means sending out literature, making one or two phone calls and then, if the customer doesn't respond quickly, giving up. This is in sharp contrast to what the highly successful exhibitor does. Learn more about successful lead follow-up and tips on how to be there when the buyer is ready to buy.

Frequently Asked Question
When will Exhibitor Housing Open?
MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Exhibitor housing will officially open at 9:00 am (PST) on Thursday, November 1st.  SEMI is pleased to continue its partnership with San Francisco-based Convention Management Resources, Inc. (CMR) as the official housing provider for SEMICON West 2008, offering guaranteed lowest rates and special booking incentives.

To assist you with your pre-planning efforts, beginning Friday, October 19th, you will have a ‘sneak peek’ to the not-yet live SEMICON West 2008 Housing Site.  You will find the updated hotel list, the list of amenities exclusive to SEMICON West participants, as well as a preview of the site layout—all designed to assist you and better prepare for the official launch on November 1st. Exhibitors who booked through CMR for 2007 will receive an email on October 15th with the booking history to help with your 2008 housing needs. Please note that any housing requests received prior to 9:00 am (PST) November 1st will not be processed
.

Booth Space Confirmations
Booth Space Confirmation Letters were emailed on October 4th to all exhibitors who have submitted payment.  Please review the information and pay special attention to the booth location, restrictions, and comments noted to your booth as there may have been changes in booth numbering.  Dynamic online floorplans of the entire event are also available from the SEMICON West website. Should you see any discrepancies in your contact or booth information, (or if you did not receive your confirmation), please contact Naomi Cogliandro at ncogliandro@semi.org or Tel: 1.408.943.6997.

The Results are in! Customer Satisfaction Surveys
We are currently analyzing the responses from the Attendee Satisfaction Survey from SEMICON West 2007.   In the November Exhibitor Update we will have a link to a detailed report with attendee demographics, top reasons for attending the show and their overall satisfaction with exhibitors.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank those exhibitors that participated in the Exhibitor Satisfaction Survey for SEMICON West 2007.  We appreciate your responses and are in the process of reading through your comments and suggestions for 2008!

Lengthen Your Sales Cycle with SmartBooth™ and SEMICONNECT
Based on information reported on ExhibitorOnline, 86 percent of a typical exhibition audience has not been contacted by a salesperson in the previous 12 months. Tradeshows offer a venue to reach prospects not currently being reached in the field and provide an opportunity to meet face-to-face with future customers.  Through the SmartBooth and SEMICONNECT portals, SEMI has extended that show cycle, giving exhibitors an additional opportunity to connect with registered attendees even months after the event.

Log in to your SmartBooth portal to review and update your company profile information as well as gain access to all registered attendees at SEMICON West.  Forgotten your log in information? Contact Leslie Schade at lschade@semi.org or Tel: 1.408.943.6978.

Exhibitor University Education for 2008
SEMI is preparing to launch the Exhibitor University Education Program for SEMICON West 2008.  This complimentary ‘value–added’ service is intended to assist exhibitors in making the most out of SEMICON West and to introduce ways to maximize your trade show investments.  In the next month we will be sending out a survey to all exhibitors to help SEMI understand the exhibit challenges facing you today.  We ask that you keep in mind any subjects you would like to learn more about and when the survey is emailed out that you take a moment to complete it

Second Payment for Booth Space Due
As a reminder, the second booth space payment is due October 11, 2007.  Invoices were mailed in September indicating that 50% of the total booth fee is due to all exhibitors.  If you have not yet received your invoice please contact Mary Durkton at mdurkton@semi.org or Tel: 1.408.943.6927 to request a copy.   Checks or wire transfers are accepted as a form of payment; please see the details included on the invoice. Late payments could affect your booth location, so please be sure to send in your company’s payment.
