New Collocated Event to be Largest Solar Industry Trade Event in North America

SEMI has announced a partnership with Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe GmbH & Co (FWTM) and Solar Promotion GmbH, the organizers of Intersolar, Europe's largest solar technology trade fair, to host Intersolar North America. This new exposition will be the largest trade event in North America serving the entire solar energy supply chain. Intersolar North America will be collocated and share dates with SEMICON West in San Francisco at the Moscone Center.

Together, SEMICON West and Intersolar North America will address the entire supply chain in solar energy including solar thermal energy and PV. Exhibitors will include PV cell and module manufacturers, polysilicon suppliers, equipment and materials suppliers, components and subsystems, and architectural/construction services. Intersolar North America will occupy Moscone Center West Hall Level 3.

What this means to current SEMICON West exhibitors
The partnership with Intersolar to host a collocated solar energy event with SEMICON West will benefit current exhibitors by bringing a new, dynamic industry audience to the combined event. SEMICON West exhibitors who are currently serving the photovoltaic market or who are looking to explore this growing segment will be able to showcase their products and technologies to a broader audience including both traditional semiconductor industry customers as well as more than 6,000 new visitors from solar-focused communities.

Current SEMICON West exhibitors showcasing photovoltaic manufacturing products and technologies will not need to relocate. SEMICON West remains the venue for exhibitors focused on manufacturing equipment, materials and services. SEMI will highlight PV-focused exhibitors in the SEMICON West Event Directory as well as in pre-show and onsite marketing promotions, traffic builders, and on the SEMICON West website.
